What is the difference between CORE, PRO, etc?
Our CineSymphony libraries are split into different offerings by orchestral section, and some have multiple options available within the section. The CORE and PRO libraries do not contain any of the same patches, and are meant to be used in conjunction with each other. Check out this guide for info on the CORE and PRO libraries and how to decide which is right for you.
Do you offer demo versions? If I don't like, it can I get a refund?
Our products are not available for trial, and once a serial code is released by our system we have no options for returns, exchanges, or refunds.
For these reasons, we try to make as much information as possible available before the point of purchase about our libraries' strengths and intended functionalities. Check out the walkthrough videos and audio demos for our products on the store pages.
If you have any questions about the libraries you are considering that would help you in your purchasing decisions, reach out to our Support Team and we will be happy to help you figure out what is best for you!
On how many computers can I use the libraries?
Our license codes can be installed and activated on up to two computers simultaneously, using the same Native Instruments account, via Native Access. If you need more licenses to authorize additional computers, contact our Support Team to request a custom order for multiple codes.
I don't own the full Kontakt. Can I still use Drums of War and other non-encoded products?
Several of our products are not encoded for the free Kontakt Player, do not use serial codes for activation in Native Access, and do not sit in the Libraries tab of Kontakt. These libraries will time out in Demo Mode after a few minutes in the free Kontakt Player.
It is possible for both the full Kontakt and free Kontakt Player to exist on the same system, so if you see a patch loading in Demo Mode, check and make sure that you are running the full Kontakt as your software instrument. It will say Kontakt Player or simply Kontakt in the upper left hand corner.
See this guide for more info.
We do have several products that have been re-encoded for Kontakt Player, after an initial release as a non-encoded product. See this guide for details.
Which products work with the NKS format/free Kontakt Player, and which ones require the full Kontakt?
CineSamples has libraries that work in various Native Instruments programs. Check out the following articles for more information:

Are your products compatible with the new M1 Macs?
Compatibility for our products is determined by Native Instruments and their ability to ensure compatibility for Kontakt with the new M1 Mac computers.
At this time, according to NI's site, they do not ensure compatibility for Kontakt or NKS with the new Apple Silicon processors. Stay up to date on their compatibility information here.
I own one or more products in a bundle. Can I upgrade to the full bundle?
At this time, we do not have a path to upgrade to our Bundles. We are working on a solution for this, and encourage you to keep an eye out for announcements on our website!
What is your Educational Discount policy?
We've got some big changes coming to our website, including updates to our EDU Discount policy. We'll be sharing more information about this in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, our Academic Discount is currently suspended while we get the new setup going. Keep an eye out for sales and deals, and if you have any questions about libraries you are considering our Support Team would be more than happy to answer them for you!
How do I make sure I have the latest update?
In general, we offer many updates for free. The exception is when we have a library that was originally encoded for Kontakt Player and we send it to NI for encoding. We did this with CineWinds CORE and PRO in December of 2015, and CinePerc in March of 2016. Check out this guide for more details if you might need an upgrade.
When you make a new purchase from our website, the version you install right away will automatically be the latest version. You do not need to apply updates after installing, and can find information about the latest version numbers in your User Area.
What happened to Freebies and Legacy products? I don't see them in my User Area.
We are in the process of making some very exciting changes to some of our older products and Freebie content. These products are currently offline as we make these changes. Stay tuned for exciting announcements!
