Hairpin Creator

The Hairpin Creator is an automatic dynamics tool that allows you to create tempo-synced or time-specific swells, holds, and fades on sustained notes. This gives you the freedom and flexibility to play chords and lines with an automatic, realistic dynamic shape applied.

To engage this tool, click the Hairpin button in the Settings tab. Toggle this feature On -- this will deactive the Adaptive Legato tool, which cannot be used at the same time as the Hairpin Creator.

Set the starting dynamic level, adjust the number of beats/milliseconds for the crescendo, the hold dynamic, hold length, ending dynamic, and decrescendo length.

Toggling On the Loop button will keep playing this dynamic shape on repeat as a note or chord is held down. If Loop is turned off here, it will play through the Hairpin one time and naturally end. You can re-articulate the note or chord to play through the dynamic shape again. This is very useful for ambient pads and backgrounds, rubato scoring, and creating dynamic shapes of very specific lengths.

There is also a toggle switch at the bottom to Link Crescendo And Vibrato -- this causes the Vibrato layer to crossfade in following the same shape as the dynamics.
