Discontinued Kontakt Libraries After NKS Encoding

As of July 1, 2022, the following Cinesamples Kontakt libraries have been officially discontinued. This change is part of our long-term effort to streamline our product catalog and ensure that all Cinesamples libraries are compatible with the free Kontakt Player and include full NKS encoding.

Unfortunately, some of our legacy titles did not meet the technical or creative requirements for re-encoding, and have therefore been retired. The following libraries are no longer available for purchase in their Kontakt library format:

Keyboard In Blue

We are excited to streamline our customer experience by providing all releases in the free Kontakt Player format and we’re proud to be one of the first Native Instruments partners to make this commitment.

Although these libraries have been discontinued in their Kontakt forms, the good news is that most of them are still available in our plugin Musio, which now contains virtually all of the Cinesamples libraries.

A few titles from our past catalog have found a new home with partner publishers. This means they are no longer available for purchase in their Kontakt format from Cinesamples. For purchasing these or support, please reach out directly to the respective publisher:

Other Discontinued Kontakt Libraries

The following titles were discontinued in their Kontakt forms for various reasons:

Abbey Road Classic Upright Pianos (Discontinued April 2020)
- This library was officially discontinued when our licensing agreement with Abbey Road Studios ended. We are no longer permitted to distribute or host downloads of this product, even for past purchasers.
CineLegacy Percussion (CineSnares, CineToms, CineToms2, CineCrash)
CineLegacy Harp

Note: CineLegacy Percussion and CineLegacy Harp are still available as free instruments in our plugin Musio.

Discontinued UVI Libraries

The following titles were discontinued in the UVI/Mach Five format:

Note: Randy's Celeste is still available in its Kontakt form here as well as in our plugin Musio.

Discontinued Freebies

These titles were originally offered as free libraries. However, due to ongoing costs associated with providing new serial codes and downloads for Kontakt-based products, we’re no longer able to offer or maintain them in their Kontakt format.

The good news is, all of these libraries are still available for free in our plugin Musio if you’d like to continue using them.

A Note on Legacy Support

Our Support team is still happy to answer any questions you might have about these legacy libraries.

However, because these products are now retired in their Kontakt formats, we have extremely limited - and sometimes no - options to give out new download links, replacement serial codes, or library updates, and we’re often unable to make bug fixes or other technical changes. We understand this may be disappointing news, but please know that the majority of these libraries have already been brought into our Musio platform, where you can continue accessing and enjoying them with ongoing updates and improvements.
