CineSymphony CORE, PRO, and More
How do you know which library is right for you? This article provides more information on how the CineSymphony series of libraries are divided into CORE, PRO, and other offerings based on orchestral section and special criteria.
Our CORE and PRO libraries are completely separate libraries that do not contain any of the same patches. Neither is meant to replace the other, and they are meant to be used in conjunction with each other.
The CORE libraries give you all the basics that you need for a standard-sized orchestral section with common articulations. The PRO expansions give you access to a larger array of articulations and FX, as well as larger ensembles like the Twelve Horns and Monster Low Brass in CineBrass PRO. CineBrass PRO also contains more detailed Solo instruments, with additional dynamic layers.
In the case of CineWinds, the CORE library contains the standard orchestral woodwinds: Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon. The PRO library contains the extended-range orchestral instruments such as Alto/Bass Flute, Eb/Bass Clarinet, Contrabassoon, and more. CineWinds PRO also includes a host of historical and international woodwind instruments that can add unique character to your compositions.
In general, we recommend starting with the CORE libraries so that you don't miss any essential instruments. You can find the patch list on each store page to get a full understanding of exactly what is included with each library, and always check out the walkthrough videos on the store pages for a detailed look at the products before making any purchasing decisions.
Another imortant consideration when making a purchase is a library's compatibility with Kontakt or Kontakt Player. See our full product compatibility chart here.
